What
an exciting day!!!! Our butterflies started to come out of their chrysalis’!
The students were so excited that it was hard to focus on other subjects.
Hopefully tomorrow, all will be out.
In reading, the students learned about reading to self.
Tomorrow, they will have the opportunity to go to the listening center in
addition to reading to self. In reading this week we are working on inflected
endings (words that end in –s, -ed, and –ing).
In
math, we used calculators to help us skip count and find patterns. We also
played the broken calculator and the number grid game. We will take our end of
the unit test on Thursday (hopefully). If more review is needed we will wait
until next week.
In
science we are not only observing our butterflies but also creating butterfly art and doing writing about the life cycle. Below is paper that we made today that will be turned into butterflies later this week.
